Recorded between 03.07.2023 - 06.07.2023 during the residency week at Uppsala Farm, Okahandja, Namibia,
and live on 07.07.2023 during Night Under The Stars (NUTS) at Goethe-Institut Namibia, Windhoek.

The DJ/Producer Residency organized by the Goethe-Institut Namibia and made possible by the EU National Institutes of Culture Namibia (EUNIC), aims to explore the incorporation of traditional instruments and rhythms from Namibia and neighboring countries into electronic music.

This 4-day residency, headed by electronic music producer and sound artist Dr. Banu Cicek Tülü (Germany/Turkey), helped to provide the platform for local electronic music producers to delve into this specific topic and to promote Namibian and African music through electronic genres, and reach diverse audiences.

The residency culminated in live performances showcasing the collective and individual compositions created during the residency which was successful in providing local electronic music producers with a dedicated space to work on the integration of traditional instruments and African rhythms into their music. It also fostered a culture of learning by doing and skill-sharing among participants.
This album was therefore produced for further accessibility and dissemination of the music and will be released for the public.
